Camellia William Bartlett 3 L

Description

Camellia japonica is mainly known as the common Camellia, but is sometimes also referred to as "Japanese rose". This early bloomer provides color in the garden as early as March, sometimes even February, thanks to the beautiful, large flowers that look a bit like roses. The ordinary Camellia comes in the colors red, pink and white. Even after flowering, the Camellia has a lot of decorative value thanks to the glossy, evergreen leaves, which are dark green in color. This plant prefers a position in the light shade or partial shade, but also tolerates full sun and full shade. The plant likes to be sheltered from the wind. With sufficient shelter, the plant will survive the winter better. The soil must be moist, but well-drained. Drought is poorly tolerated. Pruning is not necessary, just prune the long shoots or crossed branches to maintain the shape of the shrub. This is best done immediately after flowering. Camellia japonica can grow into a huge shrub with sufficient space, 3 meters height is certainly feasible.
