Description
Officially awarded worldwide as "King of Peonies". Beautiful dark red, bomb-shaped, fully filled inflorescence. The enormous amount of inner petals surrounded by large round petals in combination with the deep red color makes this peony very special. Beautiful coarse leaf from which the officinalis-parenting speaks. Supported by very thick stems, this cultivar forms a massive garden plant that is guaranteed to harvest the admiration of the neighborhood. Awarded the APS Gold Medal in 1956. Unfortunately, this species does not smell.
