Deutzia scabra Plena

Description

In May and June large panicles appear with this flower with white flowers that often show pink hues. The flowering is sometimes so rich that they largely cover the plant. Deutzias flower on biennial wood and are an important asset in the garden because they bloom in the early summer rest. The spring bloomers are then often at their end and the summer bloomers have yet to start. If the bush is in full sun, it will get the most flowers. After flowering, the faded branches are removed to above a point where a young shoot originates (remove about a quarter to 1/3 of the branch). Weak branches are also removed. The 'plena' scabra is a somewhat rougher species and is therefore up to 2.5 meters high.
