This dogwood blooms from May to June with white flowers. White to blue berries appear in August and September. The leaves turn orange-red in the fall. The bush is also attractive because of the beautiful, yellow branches that can be seen in the winter. It is best to plant the 'flaviramea' in fertile, not too dry soil in a spot in the sun or partial shade. To preserve the beautiful color of the branches it is advisable to prune the branches back to about 10 cm from time to time. If you do this with all branches, the shrub remains fairly low (1 m). If this is done with about 1/3 of the branches, it can reach its adult height. You prune it after the winter.
