This shrub remains green in winter and is hardy. He prefers light shade. The flower buds are red and open to white clocks. These form a nice contrast with the red bracts. The flower panicles have the shape of a flame, hence the name 'Bonfire'. After flowering, the Pieris with bronze turns to copper-colored leaves. This makes it look like it is still flowering. It is a slow-growing plant that grows to approximately 100 cm in height.
